After the dream, 2019-2

Many white balls in this work express the shape of hearts within a community.

Each ball has different hollows or distortions on its surface, mirroring the alterations hearts have in the relationship with others. A hollow brings a shadow onto the pure ball yet, it can also give an impression of softness. Experience in a community can make hearts mature with each other.

My installation visualises the relationship of hearts in a location that has built up over the course of history and of a location that will expand in the future.

Kominkan(community center) has been an important location for the exchange between local residents and for the preservation of local traditions. I hope the white balls help you to feel the exchange of many hearts in this location with thinking about your own community.
